Bridgewater Canal Clean

Our local canals in the Manchester see tons of litter (and larger items!) dumped there every year. SEA LIFE Manchester conduct canal cleans every month and they need your help! 

Manchester WI are going to join a litter pick on the 12th October 1:00 - 3:00 to help keep our local canals litter free to help protect the creatures and our environment. (By taking part you will also get yourself FREE entry into SEA LIFE Manchester so you will feel great too!)

This is an event organised by Sea Life Manchester (open to all, not just Manchester WI), so you will need to sign up via there webiste here, as well as registering your attendance on our website here. It is free to attend and all equipment is provided so just bring yourself. 

After you regsiter with Sea Life you will recieve more details such as meeting point. The meeting point is outside the entrance to SEA LIFE Manchester in Trafford Palazzo from 12:50pm where the organisers will hand out gloves and litter bags for a 1:00pm start and 3:00pm finish. Please note, children of any age are welcome, as long as they have a parent/guardian with them at all times. The canal can get muddy, so footwear you don’t mind getting dirty is advised. There is free parking available at Trafford Palazzo. Canal cleans can be cancelled at short notice if there is bad or dangerous weather, if for any reason, the canal clean is cancelled, we will contact you via the email you signed up with.

Spaces are limited so sign up quick! Family and friends are welcome too!The more the merrier! And, if there is a good turn out we can head for a well deserved tea and cake afterwards! Looking forward to seeing you there!
