About the Event

Join us to make your very own sourdough starter and to watch a sourdough loaf demonstration from Craft Club's own Rachel de Ridder. Rachel is a keen amateur baker that has been working with a sourdough starter for the last 3 years. She will be talking all about sourdough (tips, advice, answering your questions) and showing you the technique for making a loaf.

Have the following equipment and ingredients ready if you would like to follow along with making your own starter:

Large glass jar that can hold 500ml or more

Lid, cheesecloth or tea towel


Flour - Strong white flour and/or wholemeal flour (I use organic) you can also use plain flour if it is all you have to hand

1/4 cup measure or scales
