Toast the festive season with Manchester WI’s VIP Ice Cavern Experience

This Christmas Cathedral Gardens is being transformed into Britain’s first ever Ice Village – join us amidst a grove of snow covered trees and twinkling fairy lights to kick off the festive season in style with a VIP Ice Cavern Experience!

The Ice Cavern houses an immersive walk-through ice experience, with interactive ice sculptures referencing famous local figures from history, including a female train driver with a ‘Votes For Women’ badge as a nod to suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, as well as other legendary Mancunian symbols like football, music and Manchester’s worker bee emblem.

We’ll end our frosty Ice Cavern journey in the Ice Bar and indulge in a festive cocktail or hot chocolate to warm ourselves up. The Ice Cavern and Ice Bar are kept at an icy -10 degrees – so wrap up warm! (…don’t worry, if you’re too chilly you can nip straight through into the more toasty VIP area!)

After the Ice Cavern tour we’ll head to a private space in the Ice Village VIP area for a chance to catch up with WI friends old & new.

A fantastic range of food options will be available to purchase at the Ice Village market stalls.

Friday 30th November, Manchester WI members subsidised ticket price of £16 includes fast-track entrance & tour of the Ice Cavern at 7.30pm, a delicious festive cocktail in the ice bar followed by festive drinks* in the exclusive VIP area until 9pm.**

Non-members are very welcome to join us for the full ticket price of £24.

*until the bar tab is spent, a paid bar for additional drinks will be open after this until 9pm when the Ice Village closes

** if folks fancy carrying on post 9pm shout up & we’ll make a plan of where to head to!
